Certified Financial Planner likes Mount Carroll

New Campground Plans Labor Day Festival

Timber Lake Resort, a 250-acre resort and campground facility in historic Mt Carroll, Illinois, is reborn in 2003 with all new facilities. The resort's Grand Opening celebration begins a new tradition with the Timber Lake Labor Day Festival. This three day event has fun for the entire family.

The Mount Carroll Community Development Corporation assisted in getting the resort property included in an enterprise zone so re-development of the site could proceed more quickly.

The CDC and Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with the resort, will serve beverages during the festival weekend to raise money for economic development and tourism projects.
